Creative Printmaking Workshop Series (4 Sessions)
Explore the expressive world of printmaking in this hands-on, beginner-friendly workshop series. Across four engaging sessions, you’ll experiment with mono-printing techniques and learn the fundamentals of lino printing while creating your own unique textile piece.
Sessions 1 & 2: Mono-Printing Techniques
In the first two sessions, you’ll dive into the playful and versatile process of mono-printing. Each session focuses on a different theme and approach:
Create atmospheric prints inspired by buildings and landscapes, working in a loose, impressionist style.
Develop characterful woodland animal prints, exploring texture, layering, and mark-making.
These sessions encourage experimentation and are perfect for building confidence with printmaking materials and processes.
Sessions 3 & 4: Lino Printing & Tote Bag Design
The final two sessions form a mini-project where you’ll design and produce your own hand-printed tote bag.
Learn how to design a repeat pattern tile inspired by traditional decorative motifs, such as Spanish-style blue tiles.
Carve your design into lino and print it onto fabric.
Finish your tote bag with hand-painted details, such as vibrant Seville oranges, using acrylic paint mixed with fabric medium.
Please note: Sessions 3 and 4 are designed as a continuous project, so participants should attend both to complete their tote bag.
