Our Sense of Place schools workshops have been designed with local teachers and offer an active and hands-on session way of extending your students learning. Sessions focus on local history or art or geology and are always creative and fun!

Join a bespoke interactive story trail around the mine site and bring home your own copy plus paint, read and build in our creative play session.
An Artists Box of Geology – Suitable for KS2/3
Find out what materials artists use, where they come from and have fun trying some out!
A Picture of Mining – Suitable for Upper KS2/ KS3
Explore the heritage of mining in our local area and how it has been an inspiration for artists within our communities.
Create Your Own Florence – Suitable for KS2/ KS3
Improve your clay or print skills in a 1 hour workshop with a local artist and take two other shorter creative challenges indoors or outdoors.
