Eva Watson-Graham is a textile artist from West Cumbria. Her love for traditional crafts started in her twenties with hand-spinning, and she's been on an artistic journey ever since. Eva has experimented in wet felting and weaving, and more recently she has embraced contemporary embroidery and the benefits of slow stitching on our creativity and mental health. Eva likes to up-cycle materials into her work, especially old embroidery pieces destined for landfill, giving them new life in her creations. As a member of Fabricate, a textile art co-operative from the Western Lake District fells, she collaborates with other artisans to promote the region's craft traditions, showcasing her work at venues such as Florence Arts Centre, The Beacon Museum, The Gather and Ennerdale Show.
This session is suitable for beginners aged 8+ with reasonable mobility. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Our centre is wheelchair accessible with parking on site, ramped access to the studio door and level throughout. We have a wheelchair-accessible toilet.
