Suitable for adults from complete beginners to experienced writers and artists who want to find new ways into their practice. All materials provided. We take a flexible and experimental approach, no particular skills are required...just an open mind!

Alison Critchlow is a professional painter based in Bowness on Solway, Cumbria. She trained at Falmouth School of Art, Cornwall and Turps Art School, London. In 2021 she was awarded an Arts Council England DYCP grant and was shortlisted for the Contemporary British Painting Prize in 2024. She exhibits widely, recently at Terrace, London, Bloc Projects, Sheffield, Gallagher & Turner, Newcastle, Bay Arts, Cardiff, The Art House, Wakefield, University of Cambridge and the Yorkshire Art Space in Sheffield. An elected member of Contemporary British Painting and The Pearls she is keenly engaged with contemporary painting practice.
