The exhibition celebrates seeds of all kinds - tiny kernels which grow - but especially focuses on seeds of hope and change in our lives through a range of artworks by artists and local creatives.
Fabricate have invited guests to exhibit with them for SEED and together they present a broad range of textile pieces - quilting, embroidery, silk painting and Cumbria's very special Ruskin lace - as well as reflections from environmental artist, Tim Pugh.
There are also elements created by members of the local community - a vine of change and hope will grow throughout the exhibition and will adorn the walls of Hope Haven local mental health hub later in the year. People have been crafting and donating amazing flowers, leaves and insects. there will be a chance for visitors to contribute to the exhibition too.
There is a programme of wonderful workshops and a talk on Ruskin lace. See our website for details more details and to book: www.florenceartscentre.com/events
