Small Finds: Archaeology and Collections - A Creative Workshop with Rachel Gibson
Wednesday 8 October, 1.30pm to 3.30pm
To accompany our exhibition GROUND 4, artist Rachel Gibson will be hosting this free workshop exloring the creative possibilities of working with various raw materials.
Using collage techniques combined with pencil, pastel and pigment dust, create your own still life image based on archaeological finds and/or personal object collections. Roman glass bottles, iron age vessels, found objects, discovered objects, beautiful stones and shells are just some examples of what you can bring or work with in this afternoon of creativity.
This workshop will explore a wide range of exciting creative possibilities using natural coloured pigment, chalk and charcoal and collaged materials. All materials will be provided.

The workshop is suitable for adults and children aged 12 and over. Under-16s must be accompanied. No experience is necessary.
