Handmade decorations always make Christmas that little bit extra-special, and this year you can hang these cute Tomtes on your tree or around the house for a touch of Hygge!
Tomte are characters from Scandinavian folklore; little fellas with conical or knitted caps and long white beards - like a cross between an elf and a gnome - who come bearing gifts during the festive season.
You will be able to make your own at this one-off workshop with artist Ruth Moore, using needle-felting techniques as part of the process. Keep them for yourself or give them as unique gifts this year.
The workshop is suitable for complete beginners to needle-felting and you will learn the basic techniques to enable you to make your own during the class and at home afterwards. Using merino and Wensleydale wools for the curly beards you can choose to make the long pointy hats in traditional bright colours, or tone it down with natural hues and greys for that Scandi-chic look!
Suitable for beginners and accompanied children aged 12+. Places are very limited so book yours today to avoid missing out.
