Open Wednesday to Sunday, from 10am to 4pm (and during evening events)
This February our Gallery will be bold and bright with artwork from pupils at Frizington CommunityPrimary School.
The children from the school are proud to present their art work.
As a School we try to deliver the curriculum in a creative and inspiring way which often leads to beautiful artist creations. Our exhibition will show case some of the stunning work produced by our children over the last School year.
Our youngest children, 4 and 5 year olds in Reception, are proud to present their work on colour mixing and using shapes to make pictures.
The Children in Keystage One, 5-7 year olds, will be exhibiting the amazing work that they produced with two local artists. There will be some incredible felting with Susan Denham- Smith on a sea creature theme. And sketches after a fabulous day in Ennerdale, working with Author and Illustrator Jackie Morris.
Our Key Stage Two children, 8-11 years old, will be showcasing the art work they have done over the last year, detailed sketches, careful collaging, experimenting with the use of different painting techniques. As well as work art work created from hearing the music, Carnival of the Animals.
In addition to this, bringing a common theme to the Exhibition, we will be displaying the work that the children completed before Christmas. When we had a whole school topic based on the Michael Morpurgo Story ‘Coming Home’ and the children used the illustrations in the story to produce some beautiful robins.
