Be chilled by the Queens of Victorian horror fiction this Hallowe’en season with this theatrical portmanteau of vintage blood-curdlers! This original stage thriller from Florence favourites Don’t Go Into The Cellar! features all-new adaptations of classic gothic chillers “The Yellow Wallpaper”, “The Old Nurse’s Story” and “John Charrington’s Wedding”. Allow the ghouls of the nineteenth-century to crawl from their crypts, as we show how the female of the species can be even deadlier than the male.

Morbid Curiosities: Queens of Victorian Horror celebrates some of the finest gothic literature from female authors of the 19th Century. A unique adaptation featuring a female duo, multi-role play, sound effects and atmospheric lighting. A truly chilling and claustrophobic production!

Don’t Go Into The Cellar are one of the UK’s leading touring theatre companies specialising in bringing Victorian Gothic literature to life. With a penchant for creating unforgettable and atmospheric theatre they are not-to-be-missed in our intimate performance space. Previous visit to Florence Arts have brought us Sherlock Holmes, Dracula’s Ghost, Ghost Stories for Christmas and their newest show Terror on the Tracks: Tales of Railway Revenants (in April this year). This is the first time you have the chance to experience the wickedly entertaining show, Morbid Curiosities: Queens of Victorian Horror.
