Saturday 1 July
A very special acoustic solo show in our intimate auditorium from one of the great voices of 90s Britpop - Tom Hingley, front man and lead singer with the Inspiral Carpets.
Tom spent six years at the helm of one of Madchester's best-known bands during their early 1990s heyday, with hits including Dragging Me Down, She Comes In The Fall, I Want You, and the genre-defining This Is How It Feels. Since the band's break-up in 1995 he has released two solo studio albums - Keep Britain Untidy (2000) and Soulfire (2002), plus a 2009 acoustic album Thames Valley Delta Blues. He took part in the reformation of the Inspiral Carpets for their sell-out UK tours in 2002/3 and 2006/7. Tom has also released two albums with The Fall's Paul and Steve Hanley - as The Lovers - and continues to tour both solo and with the Tom Hingley Band.
Tonight's intimate solo show will include classic tracks from across Tom's career including songs from the Inspiral Carpets, solo material and more. Be sure to book early to nab a seat for what promises to be a great gig at FAC.
